50% U.S. GOVERNMENT TARIFF

Effective August 22, 2026, a 50% U.S. Government tariff applies to many Canadian-origin goods entering the United States, including Akzéntz® products.

For the convenience of our U.S. clients, the applicable tariff will now be calculated and displayed at checkout under “Duties.” This allows the required import charge to be paid at the time your order is placed. Akzéntz® does not determine the tariff rate or receive any portion of these duties. They are collected solely to satisfy the applicable U.S. import tariff and are remitted to the appropriate U.S. authorities.

AKZÉNTZ® TARIFF RELIEF

To help offset the cost of the new U.S. tariff, Akzéntz® is offering U.S. clients a 30% online discount on direct orders, until the tariffs are in place.

This 30 % discount will significantly lower the impact of applicable duties, and your overall Akzentz product cost will remain roughly the same.

We are also taking additional steps to make ordering from Canada as straightforward as possible:

• 30% discount on online orders shipped to the United States
• Orders shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) so applicable duties are handled in advance
• Complimentary shipping on orders of US$350+, based on the order subtotal before the 30% discount is applied
• Akzéntz® absorbing the additional US$29.95 DDP Shipping Service Fee, charged on top of regular shipping, on orders over US$350+

U.S. clients can continue to purchase Akzéntz® products through our network of valued Authorized U.S. Distributors.

Orders shipping to clients from a U.S distributor do not incur tariffs or the additional US$29.95 DDP Service Fee.

Who pays the tariff?

The tariff is paid like a sales tax, and it is paid by the purchaser.

The tariff is paid to the US Government and is collected at checkout. 

How much is the Tariff?

The Tariff on Canadian-origin goods being imported into the USA is now 50% of the value of the total order.

What is DDP?

DDP Service Fee (Delivery Duty Paid) is an additional shipping charge of $29.95, paid at checkout. These fees are charged by the shipping company for extra services such as export clearance, international transportation, import customs clearance and associated paperwork. Akzentz will be absorbing DDP Shipping Service fees for orders over US$350.

Shipping charges are separate from the tariffs and are calculated and collected independently.

Do orders from U.S Distributors incur a tariff or DDP Shipping Service Fee?

No. Only shipments passing through the U.S border have duties such as tariffs and extra shipping charges such as DDP Service Fee applied.

What is Akzentz tariff relief

Akzentz is offering a 30% discount on all products affected by these new tariffs, which lowers the impact of the tariffs and your overall cost of Akzentz products will remain almost the same. Akzentz will also be absorbing the additional costs associated with DDP shipping fees on eligible purchases. Akzentz goal is to absorb as much of the additional cost as we reasonably can while continuing to provide U.S. clients with direct access to Akzentz products from Canada.
