Trinity
Thin viscosity and multi-purpose - combines base coat, builder and gloss into one gel. Easy-to-use, very self-levelling formula is ideal for short extensions, strengthening overlays or fills. Cures to a high-gloss shine after inhibition layer is removed.
Enhance
Enhance is designed for strengthening overlays, full sculpted extensions using forms, and refill services. With a viscosity thicker than Trinity™ and thinner than Balance, it offers a controlled, balanced consistency with self-leveling.
BALANCE
Medium-thick viscosity provides great levels of control, while still maintaining a slight self-levelling ability that will slowly smooth itself as your work. Balance is well suited for sculpturing long extensions with forms.
STRUCTURE
Very thick viscosity builder gel; for maximum control along with strength and durability. Does not self-level. Perfect for extreme shapes, armouring or fixes.
Frequently asked questions
Are Pro-Formance gels cruelty-Free and vegan?
Yes. All Akzéntz® products are cruelty-free and are never tested on animals. They are also vegan, containing no animal-derived ingredients.
Do Pro-Formance gels require a base coat?
Yes. For optimal performance, all gels should be applied over a base coat.
When working within the Pro-Formance™ system, Adhere is recommended as the dedicated hard gel base, specifically formulated to support maximum bond and long-term wear.
Trinity™ features a 3-in-1 formula, allowing it to function as a base, builder, and gloss. When using Trinity, apply a thin initial layer- like you would a base coat - before proceeding with your builder layer. This technique enhances adhesion and helps reduce curing heat.
For clients prone to lifting, Adhere remains the preferred choice, offering a stronger, more resilient bond.
Do Pro-Formance gels require primer?
No. Akzéntz gels are formulated and tested to deliver optimal wear without relying on primer. All Akzéntz systems are considered primerless systems, relying on balanced gel chemistry rather than aggressive adhesion agents.
Primers such as Affixit or Sure-Bond may be used at the discretion of the nail professional, or in cases of clients with extreme retention challenges.
How do I know what gel to use?
Gel selection is based on two factors: your personal working preference and the client’s desired length.
For longer extensions, a thicker-viscosity gel such as Balance offers greater control. For shorter lengths or overlays, a thinner-viscosity gel like Trinity™ or Enhance provides more self-levelling and fluidity.
Each Pro-Formance™ gel delivers the same level of strength, the difference lies in viscosity, allowing you to choose the texture that best suits your technique and the service being performed.
What is the curing time?
All Akzéntz® gels are optimized for complete curing in 30-seconds when cured under an Akzéntz LED curing light such as the Hybrid-Pro 2.0.
Can I cure with other lights?
Akzéntz® gel systems are optimized and laboratory tested for complete, reliable curing when used with Akzéntz® curing lamps.
While many high-powered professional lamps may successfully cure our gels, results cannot be guaranteed when using alternative lights. Curing performance varies significantly by lamp intensity and wavelength, and lower-quality or underpowered lamps may not fully polymerize professional-grade gels.
For assured performance, safety, and long-term wear, Akzéntz® lamps are recommended.
Are Pro-Formance HEMA-Free?
All Pro-Formance™ gels are HEMA monomer-free, with the exception of Ultra Gloss and Formation White, which contain small amounts of HEMA.
Are Pro-Formance TPO-Free?
Yes. Pro-Formance™ gels are all available in TPO-free formulas.
Limited quantities of 'Original Formula" Pro-Formance gels are available for clients outside of the EU - these formulas contain TPO.
